I’ve seen it from the road many times, but I have never stopped. Nothing about the older wineries really interested so I stuck with the smaller or cult wineries. It always tastes great at the end of the day, but not always after you get it home.

Every St Patrick’s Day I conjure up visions of eating corned beef and cabbage for dinner. Then I wonder “What wine goes with corned beef and cabbage?” The corned beef is too salty and doesn’t work with any wine very well. Someone yells to me that beer is more in order. Maybe a wine from Ireland?

As we approach Valentine’s Day, thoughts turn to wine and chocolate. Well, ok maybe we think of other things as well, but we do think about giving chocolates. Wouldn’t it be great to give chocolates and experience it with a wonderful wine?

We weren't sure what to expect from Walnut Creek's newest addition to the foodie scene. We already have Ruth's Chris Steak House, as well as the world famous "Vic Stewarts". We're already in love with the ambiance and steaks offered at Bix, and know we can count on a perfect filet every time. Do we really need another (gasp) chain style steakhouse/restaurant?
